आज काग तिहार , दोस्रो महानपर्व तिहार सुरु,

यमपञ्चकको पहिलो दिन आज कागको पूजा गरी मीठो मीठो खान दिएर काग तिहार मनाइँदैछ । वैदिक मान्यताअनुसार कागलाई सन्देशवाहकका रुपमा मान्ने गरिन्छ ।

यमपञ्चकको पहिलो दिन आज कागलाई यमदुतको रुपमा पूजा तथा खानेकुरा दिई सत्कार गरिन्छ । परापूर्व कालमा कागलाई सूचनाको बहाकका रुपमा समेत लिने गरिन्थ्यो । तिहार पर्वलाई वैदिककालमा भगवान विष्णुले खुसी भई बली राजालाई कार्तिक कृष्णपक्षका ५ दिन तीनै लोकको राज्य भोग गर्न पाउने वरदान दिएको र यी ५ दिन बली राजाले आफ्नो राज्यभरी दीपावली गरी झकिझकाउ पारेको कथा सँग जोडिएको छ । आजैका दिनदेखि यम दीप दान गर्नाले यम यातनाबाट मुक्त भइन्छ भन्ने धार्मिक विश्वास छ । यम दीप दान दक्षिण फर्काएर गर्नुपर्ने धार्मिक विधि रहेको धर्मशास्त्रविद् एवम् नेपाल पञ्चाङ्ग निर्णायक समितिका अध्यक्ष प्रा डा रामचन्द्र गौतमले बताए ।यमपञ्चकमा धनकी अधिष्ठात्री देवी महालक्ष्मी खुसी भई सबैको घरघरमा बास गरी धनधान्यले भरिपूर्ण पारिदिन्छिन् तथा यमराज पनि खुसी हुन्छन् भनी भगवान विष्णुले बलि राजालाई वरदान दिएको कथा प्रचलित छ ।

Help for Metally Retarded Children through Cycling

Aswin 28  Saturday, The Cycling programme is being held to help the mentaally retarded children though cycling from Chuchhepati to Jharsingh pauwa.There is also a "Changa Chait" programme at Jharsingh Pauwa.

This programme is held with the mutual co-operation with Gokernashowr, Kageshori,and Shankharapur Municipality, NIC Bank, Sunrise Bank, Lions club Internation District 325 A"1" from Chuchhepati to Jharsingh Pauwa. There were 123 participants in the rally who pays Rs 1000 for the participation .

"There is total 11 lakhs collection which is used for the welfare of the children"" said Prem Khadka,the organising member.The amount is donated for the  "Health Society Nepal" located at Gokarnashor Municipalty,4.
